San Giovanni di Sinis
10 km
In the Sinai peninsula is the seaside town of San Giovanni, famous for its typical fishermen’s shacks in rattan wood, some of which are not far from exemplary Punic ruins of Tharros. At the entrance of the village of the same name stands the early Christian church of St. John dating from the fifth century and later restored. In the dunes and rocky landscape also stands the Spanish coastal tower named after the Saint.
